If asked to name two great historical landmarks in Stirling, the answer would undoubtedly be Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument. Those looking to spend some time in the city will certainly want to visit these and other attractions and a bed and breakfast guest house ideally placed to do so is Monument View.
As the name suggests the property has views over the monument and is within easy walking distance of it for closer inspection. Also with views over the castle and with the centre of the city just a picturesque 20 minutes away on foot, Monument View Guest House is the ideal Stirling accommodation choice.
Also within walking distance is the lovely spa town of Bridge of Allan, and there are dining and drinks options near the guest house too. Accommodation is offered within two rooms; one double and one twin. Both are elegantly furnished and benefit from televisions, DVD players, hairdryers and tea and coffee making facilities.
Tariff ranges from £27.50 to £30 per person per night based on two sharing, with single occupancy rates at £35 to £40 per night. Special reduced rates are available for longer stays of four nights or more. Wifi is available and guests can be picked up and dropped off at the local bus and train stations if required.
Breakfast is included in every stay and a good hearty breakfast it is too, using fresh local ingredients including haggis, potato scones and black pudding. Special dietary requirements and vegetarians can be catered for on request. After breakfast, the day is yours and there is plenty to do in the city and surrounds.
Walking and cycling are particularly popular given the beautiful scenic surrounds and cycle hire can be arranged. Tours can be arranged too including to the Trossachs and Loch Katrine, where loch cruises can be taken on the famous Sir Walter Scott Steamer.
